Geneva Aging Series, 12th edition

The Cognitive Aging Lab (CAL) and the Centre for the Interdisciplinary Study of Gerontology and Vulnerabilities (CIGEV) of the University of Geneva are happy to inform you that the 12th edition of the Geneva Aging Series (GAS) will take place at the Hôtel La Longeraie in Morges, Switzerland (https://lalongeraie.ch/) on September 24-26, 2024.

It is our pleasure to announce four keynote speakers:

  • Claudia von Bastian (University of Sheffield, UK)
  • Yvonne Brehmer (Tilburg University, NL)
  • Klaus Rothermund (Friedrich Schiller University Jena, DE)
  • Robert Stawski (University of Essex, UK)

The workshop aims to bring together junior and senior researchers in the field of gerontology and identify and discuss current and future hot topics in the psychology of aging. Further information on previous workshop editions can be found here: https://www.unige.ch/fapse/aging/en/genevaagingseries.

In addition to the keynotes above, the program will include presentations of the attendees' work in the format of talks and posters.

We have arranged two conference packages that will fully cover accommodation and catering during the workshop. Depending on whether you prefer sharing a room or staying on your own, the prices are:

  • Single bedroom with private bathroom - 480 CHF per person
  • Shared bedroom with private bathroom - 380 CHF per person

Given that the number of attendees is limited, we would appreciate it if you could let us know as soon as possible whether you plan to participate and if you would like to present your work (and if yes, whether you prefer a talk or a poster presentation).

We hope to see you this year. If you have any PhD students or Postdocs who might be interested, please don't hesitate to forward this email to them. They can contact us to check if there are still available places.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
